peeking thru the bedroom window-
she smiles and whispers –
come out and dance with me –
full moon
***
she glides thru the dark wood-
silver light streams from her beautiful face –
summer moon
***
meadow filled with light-
fireflies glowing-
to tempt the full moon
***
bright eyes –
winking thru the cedar boughs –
summers full moon
***
good night –
off to dream of moonlight & rabbits dancing in the meadow –
you know they do, don’t you –
dance in the meadow by the light of the full moon
smiles…i like the peeking in asking you to come out and play…yes, that is the moon for sure…smiles. now go have some fun.
yay for dancing rabbits! 🙂
I totally agree that on nights like this, it feels like the moon is calling me out to dance. Wonderful image – thanks.
lovely alliteration !
I love the style of the poem and the repetition of the word moon is like the moon phases. A very playful essence to poem that is highly enjoyable.
🙂 Beautiful, Kathleen
Thanks, Louise – happy you liked it – have a lovely rest of your day – K
