october moon light on the water

deep blue
the air is filled with the scent of sleet
and fallen stars

Rainy Day - Table Rock Lake

Tattered-
clouds unravel
threads of sky, loose
and torn.
Chattering –
sleet bounces across the tin roof-
tears of ice
on my face.
Shattered –
the sleet colored sky
falls to earth-
gray on gray on gray.

003
sleet filled
pewter colored sky
north wind shushes
the sparrows song
***
streaks of scarlet
across the gray canvas
cardinal wings
***
muffled bells
in the cold wind
frozen chimes
ring from the eaves
