Tag Archives: no longer yearning for home

fragrant and warm

that restless spirit has taken a holiday
and no longer shakes me from sleep
or bends my ear to her plaintive entreaties

she packed her bags, flouncing off
like a spurned lover
and I can not take it back,

those things dreamed & wished for
are now stirred in a cup of tea,
fragrant and warm
