blessings of springs new life
resurrection promises
kept year after year
white blooms of dogwood
lift the ridges
to the rising sun
hillsides decorated
in the symbols of Christ’s wounds

Morning mist rises to reveal –
Shangri-La?
No,
more likely Brigadoon.
A fleeting vision-
early spring on the ridge.
