sweeping the kitchen floor –
the remnants of living –
Ash Wednesday
***
rushing to work –
contemplation takes a backseat-
smudged forehead
***
scattered in the last autumn leaves –
flock of small brown sparrows take wing –
Lenten prayers

  Thanks, Patti, written a few years ago but I still like it too – smile. I am fine, still dealing with the grief and loneliness from Mom’s death, but its getting a bit easier.
