morning wakes
to robin song
and the rumble of earthworms
in the thawing ground
We have had glorious weather the past couple of days – warm and sunny after so many that were cold and gray.
Now I know that we have a long way to go before we see the last of winters many charms (!) but we revel in the warmth and do chores that had been left to wait until weekends just like this.
So spring will come and with this little respite, we are ready, come what may!
Earthworms waking.. Here we are covered in snow.
sounds wonderful! hope you enjoy the weather 🙂
It’s been warm here during the last few days also and we’ve seen a number of birds out. Which means of course, we have to remember to flea & tick the dogs!

Glorious photos. I especially love the bathing robins, they look besotted at having their first bath in ages!
Thanks, Sherry – we are all a little besotted by the warm sun -the cold wind and temps will be back in a few days – but oh such a lovely few sunny hours!
It has warmed up (just a bit) here too. I bet the winter robins are enjoying the warmer weather!
Your images and words are lovely, Kathleen.
You are very kind to say so, Karen – just quick snapshots of the day.- I am so enjoying your new work – the landscapes have such a dreamy quality- beautiful.
