faint sound of chimes
in the early morning air
call to worship
***
profuse blooms of honeysuckle
cascade over each fence and post
thurible of incense
***
distant thunder
dark clouds form across the western ridge
prayers of the penitent
***
cacophony of birdsong
welcomes the dawning sun
pentecost sunday
the gentleness swayed me, stopped me, all revved up with super-charged Flarf poetics at every stop along the dVerse trail, and then a sweet refrain at this way station; love the peace of it.
