An amber sunrise into the amethyst sky
Greeted by ablutions of atonement
For the winter winds
Artemisia, agapanthus, artichoke ferns
Abound at the altar of Artemis
As she dances by
In the absolute astonishment
Of April
Thanks, Helen. Read a poetry site that gave the prompt of the letters of the alphabet for this months poems – after this one, thought it might get tiresome – but April was a fun ‘A’ to play with! K
I think maybe you had fun with the alliteration on this one π I love that you have the huntress dancing – unexpected and yet fitting
it was fun – and kinda crazy – and she is just one of my fave goddesses – Diana/Artemis. π
I’m waiting for April to astonish me – it has a lot to make up for March!!!
And the beagle sends kisses back to you too. I found a squeaky ball that is close to the one he likes, so he’s happy in the yard with a new toy.

I agree – I am waiting on her just to show up! Thanks for the beagle kisses – made my day- K
Love the poem, especially the clever alliteration, and the photo is perfect – so beautiful!:)
