Yesterday afternoon, my mom and I watched as the world became our own personal snow globe! The flakes were of the huge fluffy variety for a few minutes and quickly covered the cedars and then the ground. And it is the perfect kind of snowfall – just enough to be pretty and not enough to cause any problems! These photos were taken from our bedroom window yesterday and the following pic is of a red headed sapsucker at the suet feeder this morning. I am still learning to use my new camera Santa brought me!
Love the woodpecker – I missed the snow, but I’m sure I’ll get another shot at it.
Hi Lorri are you back from the wild west? Hope you had a great holiday. You didn’t miss much – the snow went mostly south and east – but we did have a pretty afternoon. K
Yes – got back with the flu on New Years Eve – just now getting out and about. I did have a great holiday. I hear that south of us they lost power and had quite a bit more snow. Did you have a good holiday?
Oh no so sorry – that stuff has been brutal. Had my flu shot and I am determined not to get it – we’ll see! Little Rock had 11″ and it went on to Jonesboro – we were so wanting to see more here but just had a dusting. We had a nice quiet holiday – just what I needed. Glad you had a good time before you got sick.
I got my flu shot – I am almost religious about it – so I was surprised – I guess it can happen. At least I am no immune to it:)
Oh no! Well, I might take to wearing gloves and masks everywhere I go š
Couldn’t hurt – they were passing them out at the doctor’s office
Better yet – I may barricade myself in the house until spring!
LOL
beautiful!
Loved the photos and that woodpecker is way cool. The bright snow darkened the scene, but he’s still very easy to see against the tree.
I need to play around with this new camera. It isn’t fancy but a little more than what I was used to in my old point and shoot! I was happy to be able to zoom in a little and get this pic.
