sharp eyes –
watch the moonrise –
fox strolls the evening path

night spinning spiders busy in the cedar boughs-
reflecting the golden light of the full moon-
silver webs

 distant owl calls –
echo across the water-
autumn lullaby

  1. I can really relate to your poem! One of the spiders that I recently photographed is a night spider. I’ve seen it during the day – it has better eyesight than the dogs! My only set of photos was when it got caught in the cold on its web in the early hours of the morning and you can’t see how big it actually is as it’s all hunched up. The tree it lived in was populated with mockingbirds and I think they eventually got it.
