Eastertide on the Ridge
The passion of spring awakes
with the blooming of the serviceberry,
first blooms for the early spring graves.
The rocky paths are soon strewn,
not with palm fronds,
but the blown blossoms of redbuds,
a confetti of papery pinks and faded roses.
Earth’s resurrection promise
is finally in full view
as the dogwoods bring forth their flowers,
decorating the hillsides
in Christ’s wounds.

So beautiful.
Thanks so much!
Wonderful! “a confetti of papery pinks and faded roses.” – I really like that part. 😀 Also the pictures of the Dogwood are lovely!
Not surprised that caught your eye! Thanks, Stacey, have a great weekend! K
Missing the lovely dogwood
I am happy to share them – so beautiful this year! Thanks for dropping by and commenting – I appreciate your time. Kathleen
I surely agree, beautiful and awesome. Thank you, Ellen
Thanks so much, Ellen. We have had such a glorious spring and the dogwoods are always a welcome beauty in our woods. Have a lovely weekend. Kathleen
I love dogwood – our neighborhood dogwoods are just now budding and are probably a few weeks from blooming yet. Just beautiful!
Thanks Sarah. Our trees are very much ahead of schedule – usually the middle of April – but now in peak bloom. Have a great day and don’t forget the treats! : )

Awesome! Love the poem and the way the white of the flower pops against the browns and greens in the background (esp on the first page). Angie
Thanks, Angie! The dogwoods are at their peak right now – the hillsides are just covered – so beautiful!
