One of my favorite sights is the moonlight reflecting on our cove.
Something magical happens – a phosphorescence appears, seemingly just under the water. I imagine the fish schooling in the reflection – their silver bodies flashing in the white light – the scales, iridescent disks of gleaming mother of pearl – glistening in the shallow water.
It is rare but I sometimes catch a glimpse of fish leaping up, breaking through the surface of the water, to get a closer look at the full moon.
A magical part of the course of our seasons!
