My Heart is Shining Red

My Heart is Shining Red

My heart
is shining red
fragile as glass.

I tuck it away
in an iron clad
box of oak
safe and secure
unseen
untouchable.

Your heart
is shining red
fragile as glass.

It hangs on the wall
of your dining room
tied
with kite string
suspended
by a tiny tack
for all to see
and touch.

Shining
Red
Fragile hearts.
